Antelope Oregon – Only 58 minutes away, Antelope Oregon was certified in 2024 as the first International Dark Sky Community in Oregon by DarkSky International. Visitors can “see the Milky Way from Main Street.” With a population of just 37, Antelope has a colorful history that makes it all the more interesting to visit. White River Falls State Park (5 miles) – Dramatic 90-foot waterfall with historic hydroelectric facilities and swimming holes.

John Day Fossil Beds (2 hr 56 min (138.0 mi) via OR-19 N and OR-218 W) – Painted Hills, Sheep Rock, and Clarno Units showcasing 40 million years of geological and paleontological history.

Mt. Hood National Forest (45 minutes) – Ancient forests, alpine meadows, and breathtaking mountain vistas across 1.1 million acres.
