Common Spaces
The heart of our lodge is the first-floor living/dining and outdoor deck area. This is where guests gather to enjoy good eats, share stories, play games, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Our communal dining table hosts family-style meals, which guests can prepare in a well-equipped kitchen or, if desired, arrange with us in advance to have delivered, catered in-house, or offered as a “make and eat” participatory cooking workshop by one of our local farm-to-table businesses. On Saturdays from late June through Labor Day, guests can buy locally grown seasonal produce at the South Wasco Farmers Market located less than a mile away on Tygh Valley Road (check online for the annual schedule).
The first floor 16x50ft outdoor deck offers ample room for both outdoor dining, reading, relaxing, and contemplating the expansive views of the Tygh Ridge. Outdoor living area furniture and pads are provided. Upon advance request, we also have a kiddie pool that can be set up on the first-floor decks to watch the little ones while you relax and enjoy the parklike setting leading down to the 215ft. of private White River frontage.
The 8x50ft upper deck, with access to the second-floor hall bath, can be used for stargazing, astro-photography, bat-watching, or overnight glamping if guests bring camp gear and prefer to sleep under the stars.
Guests also have access to other outdoor living spaces on our over 3AC property. This includes access to private White River frontage for riverside/beach area gatherings, innertube floats, or just cooling off. Directors chairs with pop-up side tables are available by the river during the summer months. Redband Lodge also typically features seasonal access to a small fruit orchard and working vegetable and flower garden. Guests are invited to help themselves. - Family-friendly amenities available upon advance request, including porta-crib, Hook-on Dining Table High Chair for Babies 6-36 Months, Toddler Dining Table Booster Seat for Kids Aged 3+, kiddie pool.
